On an appointment basis, we conduct living history tours for school children and other history-minded tour groups. Your class will be immersed in the sights, sounds, smells and feel of the Old West as our knowledgeable staff recreates life from days gone by.


Relive a Civil War encampment,watch the town blacksmith mold tools with wrought iron,hear and see a Native American Dance and sample food from a Chuck Wagon!

     Panning

Eureka! Stake a claim, roll up yer sleeves and head for Paydirt Pete's #1 mine in the Sleepy Hollow camping area. Swirl the dirt in the sifters just like the real '49ers. Pan for precious gems and rare rocks. Our camping area also has a pavilion with picnic tables for your lunch.








Your class will have an opportunity to observe and learn about the conservation,ecology, and habitat of our alligators.






Rocky Branch Railroad is a great place for Boy and Girl Scout Troops to explore and learn to work independently yet work together to build self-esteem while emphasizing sharing and interaction through a variety of activities at Rocky Branch Railroad, such as camping, learning the ecology of American Alligators, panning for gems or exploring a spooky mine.
